Dragging a hose back and forth across the lawn or crouching down to reposition a ground-level sprinkler every few minutes is one of those garden tasks that takes far longer than it should. This garden sprinkler with retractable tripod stand puts the spray head at the right height, rotates to cover the area around it, and adjusts from partial to full-circle spray so you can water exactly what needs watering — without repositioning the unit or getting your shoes wet.

Why It Stands Out

• ✓ Retractable stainless steel tripod — the three-leg stand collapses from 35.2 in (89.5 cm) down to 21.0 in (53.3 cm) by loosening the swivel collar and sliding the central pole, so you can pack it flat and store or transport it easily between watering sessions.
• ✓ Height-adjustable spray position — raising the sprinkler head higher above the ground allows water to travel further outward before hitting the soil, giving you control over how wide an area the spray reaches without changing the water pressure.
• ✓ Adjustable spray pattern — switch between partial and full-circle coverage to focus water on a specific bed or sweep a full 360° around the stand, reducing water landing on paths, fences, or areas that don't need it.
• ✓ Mist function included — in addition to standard spray, the mist setting produces a finer water output suited to seedlings, delicate plants, and situations where strong spray would disturb soil or damage foliage.
• ✓ Stainless steel construction — the tripod legs and central pole are stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to rust in outdoor conditions, meaning the stand stays clean and functional through the lawn-care season without surface degradation.
• ✓ Ground-spike feet — each tripod foot has a 2.8 in (7 cm) ground spike that anchors into soil and prevents the stand from tipping when water pressure or wind pushes against it.
• ✓ Standard hose connection — connects to your existing outdoor tap via a multi-purpose faucet connector and water pipe, with a quick-connect fitting at both the tap end and the tripod base for tool-free setup.
• ✓ No tools needed — set up involves extending the legs, sliding the pole to your preferred height, tightening the swivel collar, and connecting the hose. No assembly hardware or permanent fixtures required.

Where to Use It

• → Lawn watering — position on the lawn, set to full-circle spray, and let it run while you do something else; the elevated head means spray distributes evenly across the grass rather than pooling near the base.
• → Garden beds and borders — adjust to partial-circle spray and point the head toward a bed without watering the surrounding lawn; the mist setting works well for flower borders and vegetable rows where gentler water distribution is needed.
• → Larger yards — because the head sits higher than a ground sprinkler, water reaches further, making it more practical for medium-to-large backyards without needing to reposition as frequently.
• → Camping and off-site use — the tripod collapses to 21.0 in (53.3 cm) and connects to any standard outdoor tap, so it can be used at a campsite, seasonal property, or cottage as easily as at home.
• → Vehicle and outdoor surface cleaning — confirmed by the supplier for washing vehicles and cleaning outdoor surfaces, giving the unit a secondary use beyond garden watering.

How It Works

1. Height adjustment — the central pole slides up and down inside the tripod head. Once at your preferred height, turning the swivel collar clockwise tightens the grip and holds the pole in place. Turning it counter-clockwise releases the pole so you can re-adjust.
2. Spray pattern selection — the rotating sprinkler head on top of the pole can be set for partial-arc or full-circle coverage by adjusting the spray direction. Water pressure from the hose drives the rotation, so no batteries or electricity are needed.
3. Ground anchoring — each of the three legs ends in a pointed spike. Pressing the feet into soil holds the stand upright and prevents movement. On hard surfaces such as a patio, the legs provide a wide base for stability without the spikes.

How This Compares

How to Use

1. Open the tripod legs — spread the three legs outward until the stand is stable. Press the ground spikes into the soil to anchor the unit.
2. Set the height — loosen the swivel collar by turning it counter-clockwise, slide the central pole to your preferred height, then tighten the collar clockwise to lock it.
3. Connect the hose — attach the water pipe to the faucet connector at your outdoor tap, then connect the other end to the water connection fitting at the base of the tripod.
4. Select your spray pattern — adjust the sprinkler head for partial or full-circle coverage depending on what you need to water.
5. Turn on the water — open the tap to your preferred flow level. The sprinkler head will begin rotating and distributing water.
6. Adjust as needed — vary the height or spray pattern while the water is running to dial in the coverage area.
7. Pack away — turn off the water, disconnect the hose, loosen the collar, collapse the pole, and fold the tripod legs together for storage.

Tip: On softer or freshly watered soil, push the ground spikes in at a slight outward angle for better grip and a wider, more stable footprint.

Care and Maintenance

• ✓ Flush the sprinkler head after each use — run clean water through for a few seconds before disconnecting to clear any soil or debris from the nozzles.
• ✓ Dry before storing — shake out any water in the pole and legs before collapsing for storage, particularly important before storing for winter to prevent any residual moisture from affecting the fittings.
• ✓ Check the swivel collar periodically — if the pole starts slipping during use, the collar may need re-tightening; inspect before each session.
• ✓ Inspect hose connectors — check the quick-connect fittings at both ends of the water pipe for cracks or wear each season, and replace if water leaks at the joint.
• ✓ Store indoors over winter — the stainless steel frame handles outdoor conditions well during the growing season, but storing the unit indoors during winter protects the plastic fittings and connectors from freeze damage.
